As Nigeria celebrates 66 years of independence, citizens have been urged to renew hope, embrace unity and innovation, and strengthen their commitment to building a prosperous nation.

The charge was given by digital entrepreneur Dr Ifeanyi Kingsley Adonu while congratulating the country on its independence. He described the anniversary as “an important moment for Nigerians to reflect on the nation’s journey, celebrate its resilience and look forward to greater opportunities for individuals, businesses and communities.”

Adonu, who is the chairman of S. Mobile Group, said: “Nigeria’s strength lies in the determination, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of its people,” adding that technology and digital innovation have an important role to play in improving everyday life and expanding economic opportunities.

He said: “On behalf of myself and the entire S. Mobile Group family, I warmly congratulate Nigerians on the celebration of our 66th independence anniversary. Nigeria belongs to all of us, and its progress requires the collective effort, resilience and commitment of every citizen.”

He called on Nigerians to remain hopeful, united and committed to the collective advancement of the nation.

“As we celebrate Nigeria at 66, let us continue to believe in Nigeria, support one another and embrace innovation that improves our lives. May our nation continue to enjoy peace, progress, prosperity and greater opportunities for all. Happy 66th Independence Anniversary, Nigeria.”

Adonu also used the occasion to call on Nigerians to take advantage of digital platforms designed to provide convenient access to a range of everyday mobile and payment services.

According to him, users can enjoy subsidies on data and airtime purchases, alongside services including bill payments, TV subscriptions and other digital transactions.

“We are committed to putting technology to work for Nigerians. The app gives users access to essential services while providing opportunities to enjoy subsidies on data and airtime purchases, as well as convenient bill payments, TV subscriptions and other services.”

Adonu reaffirmed his group’s commitment to developing innovative solutions that create value for Nigerians and contribute to the growth of the country’s digital economy.
