C’River Consultative Forum thanks Tinubu, Otu for Ekpo’s appointment

The Cross River State Consultative Forum (CRSCF) has expressed profound gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Bassey Edet Otu over the appointment of its Chairman, Hon. Barr. Eyo Nsa Ekpo, as Secretary, Contact and Mobilisation Directorate, South-South, of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general elections.

In a statement issued in Calabar and signed by the group’s Treasurer, Sir Maurice Effiwatt, and Secretary, Dr. Julius Okputu, the CRSCF thanked the President for finding its chairman worthy of the national assignment.

“We wish to express our profound gratitude and appreciation to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for the appointment of our Chairman, Hon. Barr. Eyo Nsa Ekpo,” the statement read.

The group also extended its “deepest appreciation” to Governor Otu for his “invaluable support and endorsement” of the appointment.

Appointment a Testament to Ekpo’s Qualities

The CRSCF described the appointment as a recognition of Ekpo’s exceptional leadership, dedication, and organisational capacity.

It said the appointment was “a clear testament to the sterling qualities of a man who has committed his life to the service of the people of Cross River State and the advancement of progressive politics in Nigeria.”

The group noted that Ekpo’s years of grassroots engagement, community development, and political mobilisation had prepared him for the significant national assignment.

Reflects Tinubu’s Inclusive Leadership

The CRSCF also noted with great satisfaction that the appointment reflects President Tinubu’s commitment to inclusive leadership and his recognition of the immense human capital and political importance of the South-South region.

It said the appointment aligns with the President’s broader vision of building a broad-based, people-centred campaign that speaks to every Nigerian, in every language, and in every community.

Call for Support

The group reaffirmed its unwavering support for President Tinubu’s re-election and for Governor Otu’s second term.

It called on all its members, coordinators across the 18 local government areas, and the good people of Cross River State to extend the same support to Ekpo in his new role.

“Together, we will work to deliver victory for the APC in 2027,” the group said.

The statement concluded with a congratulatory message: “Congratulations, Hon. Barr. Eyo Nsa Ekpo. Onward to victory!”
