As the wind of defection continues to sail following the new season of sweetness, three former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members have defected from the party to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State.
The defectors are Antigha Ambo Bassey, PDP Chapter Secretary; Mr Bepo Israel Adebowale, PDP Youth Leader, Ward 4; and Effiong Nyong Okon, PDP Member, Ward 4, all in Calabar South Local Government Area of the State.
CONVERSEER learned that the trio defected from the PDP to APC on Sunday in Calabar South.

Since the emergence of Governor Otu and his official swearing on 29th May 2023, many members of the opposition parties, especially the PDP, have been defecting monthly from the three Senatorial Districts of the state.
The most recent is Rt. Hon. John Gaul Lebo, former Speaker of the 8th Cross River State who resigned from the PDP and is alleged to be joining the APC soon in his Adadama ward in Abi Local Government Area.
