Asake’s father has come out to cry for help from the public and this has elicited reactions from many.

Videos of Asake’s father limping after reportedly suffering a stroke have been going viral, with reports claiming the singer has abandoned his father.

Some social media users claim Asake’s father was an absent dad, others claim he was the one who raised Asake and his mother was the one who was barely present.

Many advised the singer to provide help for his father, irrespective of the kind of parent he was.

In all of these, Asake has not reacted to the alleged parental abandonment claims so it it not clear what is the true story.

There are older videos of Asake gifting his father a car and there are photos of them together in the not-so-distant past, so it is not clear what happened between then and now that caused the distance between the father and son.

In a new video, Asake’s father claimed he personally raised the singer but since 2022, he has stopped having his time and no longer picks his calls. He added that he is exhausted and now has to come to the public for help.

Actress Dayo Amusa has now weighed in. She said that when Asake covered his face in tattoos, she felt he was rebranding or masking a pain.

She added that fame does not heal the pain of parental rejection and she can relate because she is a victim of similar circumstances.
