Dominic Solanke

Bournemouth striker, Dominic Solanke, has informed the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) of his readiness to play for the Super Eagles of Nigeria after the Three Lions of England snubbed him from the 2024 Euro squad currently holding in Germany.

Converseer reports that Solanke has represented England at the U-16, U-17, U-18, U-19, U-20, and U-21 levels, and he won the U-20 FIFA World Cup with England.

He also represented the England national team once.

The 26-year-old is now in talks with the NFF to switch his allegiance to Nigeria Super Eagles.

Solanke is following the footsteps of Victor Moses whom after featuring for England U-21 opted for Nigeria and won the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in 2013, and Ademola Lookman who also made a switch and reached the 2023 AFCON final played this January in Ivory Coast.

Our Reporter learned that Solanke scored 19 Premier League goals in the 2023/2024 season for Bournemouth.
