The altercation began as Michigan players planted their flag on Ohio State’s midfield logo, a move that enraged Ohio State players and sparked a physical confrontation.
The brawl, which lasted several minutes, overshadowed what had been an intense and closely contested game. Michigan’s running back expressed disappointment over the post-game clash.
“For such a great game, you hate to see stuff like that after the game,” he said. “It’s bad for the sport, bad for college football. But at the end of the day, some people, they gotta learn how to lose, man. You can’t be fighting and stuff just cause you lost the game.”
Officials and coaching staff intervened to separate the players, but the incident has sparked debate over sportsmanship and heated rivalries in college football.
