Nollywood actress Chika Ike has taken to social media to refute rumors making the rounds that billionaire businessman Ned Nwoko is the father of her new-born child.
Chika Ike flatly disputed the rumors in a long post on her Instagram page, claiming that Ned Nwoko, the child’s purported father, is not her child’s biological father.
She emphasized that she loves her privacy and only discloses details about her life on her own terms, expressing her irritation at the persistent rumors and conjecture around her personal life.
The actress wrote; “Endlessly blessed, forever grateful…A must read !!!! false! false! false!
“There have been all sorts of lies paddled about me in the media for years but I always treated them like what they are, rumours that needed no response.
“But this is different, this is about my child…. You all do not know anything about me! Because you can’t! Except I choose to disclose. Yes, I’m that private!
“Ned isn’t the father of my child and whoever name you might come up with later with your guessing games and like I’ve said before I’m not about to be anyone’s 7th wife! Polygamy isn’t for me.
“I’ve been pregnant for months now and no one even had a clue about my pregnancy until I announced it and you all think you’ll know who the father of my child is or anything happening in my life? Very laughable and Clueless!

“Keep digging and coming up with your false news. I don’t care about rumours because I understand it comes with my career choice and the only reason I’m responding to this rumour is because this is about my child.
‘‘My privacy is my peace and no one can unsettle me. I’m basking in the euphoria of my pregnancy and that’s all that matters to me now”. Chika Ike added.
Her comment comes after Ned Nwoko denied taking the popular actress as his seventh wife while he was reacting to rumours that he is the father of Chika Ike’s new-born child.
His office called the allegations being peddled on social media as “completely baseless and a product of malicious speculation” in a statement issued on Monday.
The statement reads: “Our attention has been drawn to the recent false rumors alleging that Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko is planning to marry Nollywood actress Chika Ike as his seventh wife and that she is pregnant for him. We categorically state that these claims are entirely baseless and a product of malicious speculation.
“Similarly, reports claiming he made statements about Tuface and polygamy are completely untrue. As a public figure and with his wife also being an actress, it is not unusual for bloggers seeking attention to fabricate such stories.
“However, Senator Nwoko is currently on a national assignment, focused on delivering on his political mandate, and has no time for distractions.
“This office remains available to journalists for verification of information, and we remind media practitioners of the consequences of spreading fake news. The public is advised to disregard these rumors and rely only on official statements from his office.”
