Driver runs mad after dropping passengers in Calabar

A commercial driver has gone psycho (mad) shortly after dropping off passengers and loads in Calabar, Cross River State capital.

CONVERSEER gathered that the incident happened on Saturday morning after the monthly sanitation at Etta-Agbor by Calculux Park.

According to a source, the driver whose name is yet to be ascertained came in from outside the town and was looking alright to the naked eye.

“The driver just entered this morning and dropped off passengers and loads and immediately, he went mad (psycho). He is not a regular taxi driver who drives within town.

“The man doesn’t look drunk, neither does he look like someone who has taken any substance.

“I wonder what would have triggered the mental illness. Could it be overthinking? Because the country is hard that one can run mad from mere thinking, especially if you have a family and you’re a low-income earner,” the source who spoke under anonymity said.

CONVERSEER could not ascertain if the man was taken to the Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital at Calabar Road but when our Reporter visited the area, it was the talk about the madness that dominated the parks.

Mental illness is real. One has to take care of his/her mental health. Don’t wait until it gets worse.
