Elvert Ayambem conferred with “Nton Aseh Amfam” chieftaincy title

The Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem has been bestowed with the prestigious title of “Nton Aseh Amfam” (Chief of Politics) by the revered Traditional Leaders and the entire Nde community.

CONVERSEER reports that it is the highest chieftaincy title ever granted to a political leader in the culturally rich villages of the Nde Clan in Ikom LGA of Cross River State.

The “Nton Aseh Amfam” title holds immense significance within the Nde clan, signifying the apex of political leadership and dedication to the community.

It is a title that is conferred only once in a lifetime, making it an exceptional honour for Speaker Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem.

Conferring the title, the Clan Head of Nde, Nton Bassey Nsan, prayed that the gods of the land Continue to guide and lead their son as he serves the interest of the larger community.

The event which took place in the heart of the Nde community, was a celebration of culture, tradition, and political service.

Distinguished guests, including political leaders, traditional rulers, and community members, gathered to witness this historic event.

Speaker Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem expressed profound gratitude for the honour bestowed upon him.

He emphasised the importance of preserving and celebrating the rich traditions of the Nde clan while working tirelessly to uplift the lives of its people through effective governance.

The event was marked by colourful displays of traditional dances, music, and feasting, creating an atmosphere of joy and unity among attendees.

Speaker Ayambem, the “Nton Aseh Amfam,” was promoted to carry with him the responsibility of upholding the values and traditions of the Nde clan while continuing his dedicated service to the people of Cross River State.
