Emerging Leaders thank President Tinubu for appointing their own as Ambassador

The leadership of the Emerging Leaders Forum of Nigeria (ELFON), ably led by Amb. Godstime Chukwubuikem Samuel has thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing the Adamawa state coordinator of ELFON as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Syria.

Godstime and other ELFON officers while addressing the Press in Abuja noted that President Tinubu is keeping to the promises he made to Nigerian Youth and Emerging Leaders in particular in the area of appointments.

“Amb. Dodo has remained committed to serving the youth, Nigeria and humanity at large from his days as a student leader to the Youth Assembly of Nigeria Ambassador for Adamawa state to his present role as Coordinator of ELFON in Adamawa state and even as a medical doctor. We are optimistic that Dodo will make Nigerian youth and Nigerians proud as Charge D’ Affairs of Damascus, Syria.

FOREIGN AFFAIRS MINISTRY APPOINTS CONSULS-GENERAL, CHARGÈ D’ AFFAIRS FOR 13 COUNTRIES

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has approved the appointment of 12 Consuls-General, five Chargè D’ Affairs for 13 Countries, News Point Nigeria gathered.

Confirming the appointments in a statement, on Tuesday, the Special Assistant on Media and Communications Strategy to the Honorable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alkasim Abdulkadir, said, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar has called on the newly appointed Chargé D’affaires and Consuls-General to be good ambassadors of Nigeria.

According to the statement, the minister further stressed that as seasoned career diplomats, they should shun the act of politicking and recommit themselves to their calling of diplomacy for the collective interest and development of Nigeria.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar has called on the newly appointed Chargé D’affaires and Consuls General to be good ambassadors of Nigeria, asserting that they are pivotal to the economic drive of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

He further stressed that as seasoned career diplomats, they should shun the act of politicking and recommit themselves to their calling of diplomacy for the collective interest and development of Nigeria.

Reacting on behalf of the new appointees, the just appointed Consul General for the Consulate in New York Ambassador Abubakar Jidda, reiterated the commitment of his colleagues to uphold the ethos of the profession and pledged to bring the much-needed investments to the country.

He further thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the confidence reposed in them.

The new appointees are to resume immediately.
