Family seeks compensation from Asake following his denial of neglecting his ill father.

Hours after denying claims of abandoning his sick father, the family of talented Nigerian singer Ahmed Ololade, popularly known in music circles as Asake, has listed demands they would like him to meet as compensation for his ailing dad.

Recall that in a video that went viral on social media earlier this week, the singer’s father, Fatai Odunsi, openly accused the artiste of ignoring his calls after he suffered a stroke in 2022 and sought financial support from the public.

He said, “I am the father to Asake, who is singing. The last time I saw him was when this thing happened to me on March 29, 2022.

“He does not pick up my calls anytime I call him. Now I have become tired. I have been looking for this my brother and I recently met with him.”

Hours after the video went viral, the musician addressed the accusation on social media on Friday, posting a mysterious message in Yoruba freestyle.

Asake made his own accusations, seemingly implying that his father was trying to control him in spite of his kindness.

He said; “You can’t please the world. Whatever you do, do it for God and always remember the day you’ll die and meet your God.

“My people, can you see? Even my father wants to cajole me. I used to press money for him, and I did it with one mind.

“No one can quench my fire. God is the one that is taking me ahead in life.”

The singer’s family is now requesting that he purchase a N50 million home in Isale Eko that will bring in rental revenue to help support his father, according to a woman who spoke on their behalf.

For Zeenat, Asake’s claimed 11-year-old daughter, whom they allege he abandoned, the representative also requested a DNA test. It was also requested that the singer stand behind Zeenat’s mother, Asake’s purported baby mama.

The family said, “Asake, come and buy a N50 million house for your father so that he can be collecting rent to feed. Always remember that your father will always be your father. Come and take care of your father.

“Even if the whole of Nigeria donates N1 billion to Asake’s father, the N1 million Asake will donate will make Papa Asake feel better. Also come and take care of your 11-year-old daughter and your babymama. If you are in doubt about Zeenat, the mother has agreed to a DNA test.”
