Francisca Ordega, the 31-year-old forward for Nigeria’s Super Falcons, has signed a two-year contract with Al Ittihad Ladies FC in the Saudi Arabian Women’s League, following her departure from CSKA Moscow.
Ordega officially ended her tenure with the Russian club on January 10, after her contract expired, closing a successful chapter in her career.
During her time at CSKA Moscow, which began in 2021, Ordega made 84 appearances, scored 29 goals, and contributed 20 assists.

Her efforts were key to the team’s success, including winning two Russian Cup titles, a Super Cup, and four Super League silver medals.
Reflecting on her time at CSKA Moscow, Ordega expressed her gratitude:
“It’s been an unforgettable and successful period. I took incredible pride every time I pulled on this shirt. Now, it’s the right time to undertake a new challenge. CSKA will always be my home.”
A seasoned player with a decorated career, Ordega has competed across five continents.
Before joining CSKA Moscow, she played for top clubs including Piteå IF in Sweden, Washington Spirit in the USA, Sydney FC in Australia, Atlético Madrid in Spain, and Levante UD in Spain.

On the international stage, Ordega has been a long-time member of Nigeria’s Super Falcons.
She represented her country at all levels, playing in the 2010 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup and the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, before joining the senior team.
Ordega has participated in three FIFA Women’s World Cups (2011, 2015, and 2019) and played a crucial role in Nigeria’s victories in four African Women’s Cup of Nations titles (2010, 2014, 2016, and 2018).
