Fulham Make Late Bid to Acquire AC Milan’s Samuel Chukwueze

Fulham have made a last-minute attempt to sign AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze, with negotiations underway to complete the deal before the transfer window closes according to Fabrizio Romano.

Despite a quiet winter transfer window, the Cottagers have now turned their attention to Chukwueze, who has struggled for regular minutes at Milan.

The 25-year-old Chukwueze could provide an immediate boost to Marco Silva’s attack, but with time running out, Fulham must move swiftly to finalize the transfer.

Silva’s frontline has performed well this season, most recently securing a 2-1 victory over Newcastle United. However, the Portuguese manager is keen to strengthen his options on the wing, and Chukwueze could see a move to Craven Cottage as a chance to reignite his form after an underwhelming spell in Italy.

Fulham in Talks as Transfer Deadline Looms

Romano confirmed that discussions between Fulham and Milan are progressing, though the window’s imminent closure leaves little room for delays:

Chukwueze joined Milan from Villarreal in the summer of 2023 for £16.5 million (€20 million) after making a name for himself in the UEFA Champions League, helping the Spanish side reach the semifinals in 2022.

However, his time in Serie A has not gone as expected, and a move to England could be on the cards.

According to Calciomercato, the Nigerian winger was previously offered to Premier League clubs Tottenham Hotspur, Everton, and Crystal Palace. However, Fulham are now leading the race as they work to finalize the deal before the transfer deadline.
