Germany offers help to Spain after severe flooding

Berlin, Germany – Germany offers help to Spain after severe flooding

The German government has offered support to Spain following severe flooding, a government spokesman said on Wednesday.

“We are in direct contact with the Spanish government to see if support from Germany is needed for this terrible disaster,” Steffen Hebestreit said.

At least 62 people have been killed by flooding across Spain after heavy rainfall.

Hebestreit said the German government and Chancellor Olaf Scholz are “deeply shocked.”

CONVERSEER reports that at least 51 people have died in the severe storms in Spain, specifically in the Mediterranean region of Valencia.
