LAND DISPUTE: Actress Lizzy Anjorin responds after court clears her of criminal allegations

Sultry Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin has reacted after an Upper Area Court in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State dismissed criminal charges leveled against her.

On Friday, the actress was exonerated of all criminal charges in a high-profile lawsuit that involved Harmony Gardens and Estate Development Limited in Ilorin, Kwara State, Saheed Mosadoluwa, also known as Ibile, and herself.

Anjorin’s case, which was filed as a direct criminal complaint, took a positive turn during court proceedings when the state attorney general intervened, took over, and requested a termination in the middle of the hearings.

The lawsuit against the actress was automatically dismissed after the presiding judge, Hon. Yunus Kayode, decided in favor of the Attorney General’s request.

The actress responded to the court decision by calling the case a cross-sue and stating that she and the complainant were both named as defendants in the case before the decision exonerated her of all the criminal charges.

“The case bordered on a land dispute, and it all happened in Lagos. But the complainant went ahead and filed a criminal suit against me in Ilorin, Kwara State, to lock my enemy away in prison. When I got there, I presented my evidence, cross-sued, and both of us became defendants.

“I was summoned on Friday based on his case and I showed up, but we counter-sued him and on Tuesday, they sent his summon but he didn’t show up and when they wanted to continue with the case we filed against him, I withdrew it and left him for God,” Lizzy said.
