Max Air Plane Makes Emergency Landing at Kano Airport After Tire Catches Fire Upon Touchdown

The incident occurred at 10:57 p.m. when the airplane reportedly lost its nose landing gear tyre during landing.

A Max Air flight from Lagos reportedly crash-landed at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport late Tuesday night.

The incident occurred at 10:57 p.m. when the airplane reportedly lost its nose landing gear tyre during landing.

According to a report by Daily Nigerian, one of the passengers aboard the flight recounted the harrowing experience.

“Immediately after touchdown, the tyre burst and caught fire. The aircraft then skidded to a halt on the runway,” said the passenger, who requested anonymity.

However, no casualties were reported.
