Meta trials a new feature that enables users to create comments using AI.

Meta (formerly the Facebook company) owned by Mark Zuckerberg is now experimenting with a new tool that allows users to generate comments on Instagram posts using AI.

Jonah Manzano, an X user who is known for testing features on social media platforms, found the feature, which now allows Instagram users to access a “Write with Meta AI” prompt that provides AI-powered comment suggestions on their friends’ posts.

By tapping the pencil symbol next to the text box beneath a post, you may activate the AI-generated remark feature. Meta AI then scans the photo and comes up with three possible comments.

A Meta spokesperson, Andy Stone, confirmed the testing of this new feature.

“We regularly test more features for you to use Meta AI across our apps,” he said.

This comes days after Meta, in partnership with Data Science Africa, announced the Llama Impact Grant for startups and researchers based in Sub-Saharan Africa.

As part of Meta’s global Llama Impact Grants, this initiative will support innovative projects that harness the power of Llama, Meta’s cutting-edge open-source large language model, to develop unique solutions tailored to the region’s needs.
