Merseyside, UK – Liverpool and Egyptian striker, Mohammed Salah, has received series of attacks from Muslim extremists over his Christmas post.
The extremists who attacked Salah, Converseer gathered, cut across countries which practice Islam, with majority coming from poor countries, especially those in Africa.
Salah who has been prolific this season, with many tipping him for the 2025 Ballon d’Or, shared a photo of him with his family beside a Christmas on December 25, on social.
The Egypt King who missed out of this year’s CAF award started receiving threatening messages through comments, all coming from Muslim extremists.
Below a post Salah shared on X (formerly Twitter) – a photo of his family; himself, wife and two kids:

Read some of the attacking comments below:
“Ibn Umar reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Whoever imitates a people is one of them.” Year after year you make this same post And year after year, your brothers in Islam advise you. And year after year, you ignore their advice. Choosing to imitate the enemies of the nabi ﷺ rather than to imitate the nabi ﷺ. You are an influential man who has been Muslim his entire life. You have every resource available to make it easy for you to practice your religion. And yet you are here promoting shirk and kufr to appease kuffar and your own desires. And your actions make it more difficult for the Muslims who don’t celebrate Christmas because there will be non Muslims say “oh but Mo Salah celebrates Christmas?” Fear Allah, Mohamed. It HE Who has granted you the great privilege you enjoy, and you disgrace Him by doing this year after year.” – @xavierjp___
“Mo Salah, I loved you as a Al Hilal fan. I viewed you as my role model. Even though you never played for Al Hilal, you inspired me. However, after this tweet, I can no longer view you as my role model. You broke my heart. If you don‘t delete this tweet, I will unfollow you.” – @paulhi55
“Such a shame. You are an example to our Muslim youth and this is what you chose to represent. It is hard enough for us to maintain our identity, without those our children look up to abandoning it on the big stage.” – @freeriver2sea
