According to Naija Confra, after Mosquito was dropped, his hand was removed. A search of Adebajo’s residence led to the discovery of a Beretta pistol with six live rounds, two UTC axes, and various charms.

SP Omolola Odutola, Police Public Relations Officer, Ogun State Police Command Headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, in a statement on Saturday, said Kunle Polly was arrested following information provided by the public.

“Six days after, a concerned citizen made a distress call to Divisional Police Officer, in IGBEBA, that rival cults engaged themselves at Ijagun in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, where one “Mosquitoe” was sh0t, m@cheted, and his left hand severed and taken away by his k!llers.

“Credible information was provided by the public, which sustained the police tracks that indicated the hideout of the fleeing suspect.

“Upon receiving this information, a team of detectives promptly mobilised and took action by moving to the location, where three suspects – Adekunle Adebajo aka Kunle Polly, 34 years old from Itun Oke Ijebu Isiwo; Oriyomi Yekini Jimoh, 42 years old from No. 8 Madu Close Iseolu Ikorodu Lagos; and Lateef Idris Tope, 28 years old from No. 1 Igara Street Ijebu Isiwo – were apprehended.

“During interrogations, the first suspect admitted to being a member of the Eiye confraternity, this prompted a search warrant to be conducted at his residence, and it led to the recovery of a Beretta pistol, with six live rounds of ammunition, two UTC axes, and charms.

“Investigation is ongoing to arrest those criminals who fled the hideout, and further updates will be provided,” the statement read.
