“You will recall that on 24th January, 2025, the Command released a security alert, calling on the public to exercise caution and report any suspicious person or item to the authority following series of intelligence reports from various intelligence agencies about the presence of suspected terrorists in the State.

“Also, a wanted suspected terrorist, Ahmad Adam Abba, a Chadian National, who masterminded the k!lling of seventeen (17) people in Republic of Chad, was identified planning to set a terrorists base in Kano.

Our teams are collaborating closely with other intelligence agencies and the communities to ensure that we are working hand-in-hand to identify any suspicious activities and individuals who may pose a security threat to our society.

“Furthermore, patrols have been intensified, and surveillance measures have been enhanced in key areas known to be vulnerable. The Command through its public relations unit will continue conducting awareness programs to educate the public on the importance of reporting suspicious activities.

“It is vital that we foster trust and cooperation between the Police and the communities we serve, as this partnership is essential in combating crime and preventing any likely emerging security threats.
