A bizarre scenario played out within the week in Letekom 1 of Ikpakapit in Ugep Yakurr Local Government Area of Cross River State, as a heavily pregnant woman slumped and died while quarrelling with her neighbour.
The deceased, who was pregnant, died while quarrelling with the other woman, her neighbour.
According to Mrs Grace who claimed to have witnessed the entire incident, the duo were quarrelling and exchanging words before the deceased slumped and died.
According to Agba Jalingo, the deceased woman’s child was said to have picked a fight with a neighbour’s child, which later degenerated into fisticuffs between the deceased and her neighbour.

The deceased who was heavily pregnant lost her life in the process.
Some people in the compound allegedly said that the deceased was a BP patient.
This is the second time this kind of sad event has happened in ugep. In 2021, Hon. Nwenji Eteng who was popularly called Hon. Labour died in Ikpakapit Ugep while quarrelling with his brother.
