The University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) has appointed Prof. David Ogar as the new Acting Vice-Chancellor.
Ogar’s appointment came in at the weekend following the expiration of the tenure of Prof. Stephen Ochang in the same acting capacity.
It was gathered that the appointment of Prof. Ogar followed the agreement between the Governing Council of the University and the Government of Cross River State.
CONVERSEER reports that Ochang was appointed Acting VC in May following the suspension of the Substantive VC, Prof. Augustine Angba, by the Governing Council over alleged gross misconduct.
Prof. David Ogar will also serve for three months in the Acting position pending when his appointment will expire or be renewed, as the case may be.
