Calabar, Nigeria – The Commissioner representing Cross River State at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Board, Rt. Hon. Orok Otu Duke has bagged a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Media Arts at the prestigious University of Calabar (UNICAL).

Duke, after painstakingly going through the educational system of the varsity was awarded the doctorate degree alongside over 400 others on 22nd March 2025.

Reacting to the conferment, Hon. Etim Asido Ukpong, the Executive Chairman of Odukpani Local Government Area, described this academic milestone as a well-earned recognition of Rt. Hon. Duke’s exceptional contributions to the field of Media Arts, as well as his unwavering commitment to promoting Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage.
