This morning, personnel from the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) blocked and searched the monastery.
On December 31, a delivery of 5.5 tons of aid from the Diocese of Chernivtsi and Bukovina was reported by the monastery.
The shipment included cabbage, onions, eggs, dairy products, condensed milk, fresh fish, apples, a variety of fruits, personal hygiene items, household cleaning products, greenhouse film (150 microns) to replace old window coverings, a construction vacuum cleaner, barrels, and various other supplies.
Supporters from across Ukraine and abroad contributed to this charitable effort. Volunteers from Bukovina continue their work in gathering aid for the Lavra.
After visiting the main monastery, the volunteers from Bukovina also delivered humanitarian assistance to the Lavra’s skete dedicated to St. John of Shanghai and San Francisco located in Adamovka village, followed by a delivery to the Holy Protection Convent in Lyman.
Additionally, the residents of the monastery utilize the received humanitarian aid to support both the needs of the monastery, its resident refugees, and the local populations of nearby villages.
