OGOJA – A classroom teacher Dr Mike Udam, has written Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, Senator representing Cross River Northern Senatorial District, an open letter. Read below:
Dear Distinguished Senator Jarigbe Agom,
I write to express my profound appreciation for the remarkable strides you continue to make in advancing the development of our senatorial district. Your dedication to service is truly commendable, and it is inspiring to witness how you have exceeded expectations—not only in your legislative duties but also in delivering transformative projects that directly impact the lives of our people.
It is evident that you came fully prepared for this role, and let me assure you, we—the ordinary citizens—are immensely proud and grateful for your exemplary representation. Your achievements resonate deeply with us, and we remain steadfast in our support.

I am writing to humbly appeal for your intervention in a critical infrastructure need: the construction of a bridge over the Omachi River to link North Ukelle with Okpoma, the local government headquarters. This bridge is not just a pathway; it is a strategic and game-changing project that will foster unity, boost economic activities, and unlock multidimensional development for the people of Okpoma and our Ukelle brothers.
Your track record speaks volumes. You have already made history as the first senator in the entire South-South geopolitical zone to attract two bridges with a combined length of 200 meters—including the iconic 120-meter Ukpagada Bridge. This feat gives us confidence that, with your influence and commitment, the Omachi River Bridge can also become a reality.
On behalf of the good people of North Ukelle and our friends in Okpoma, I join them in earnestly appealing to you to once again work your magic by advocating for this project before the Federal Government of Nigeria. We believe in your ability to make it happen.
You are undeniably the shining star of Northern Cross River, and it is you we trust to champion our cause. Thank you for your unwavering service. May God continue to bless and strengthen you now and always.
Yours sincerely,
Dr Mike Udam,
