SO, THE SKY STAYED

We are now living
Our dreams,
Leaving
Behind frustrated screams,
From deliberate fools,
Who are busy shuffling their hoofs.

Heaven weighed our fate,
So, the sky stayed.
The black cloud disappeared
And the bright sky reappeared.
Those decisions that we made,
Eventually showed in the victory parade.

There is a renewed hope down the road:
I am not looking back again,
As I am not going back the other way.
What we have found is not a momentary flicker –
God’s favour is unending
And will always need careful tending.
