Calabar, Cross River State – The Institute for Universal Harmony (TIFUH), in collaboration with the University of Calabar, has inaugurated its first Cross River State Executive Council (Exco) Members.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, which was held at the main auditorium of the Cross River State Community Hall, University of Calabar, the National President of TIFUH, Prof. (Mrs) Akon E. Esu, said that TIFUH is on a mission to deliver quality training and give more people around the globe access to embrace peace as the only alternative to moving the world forward.
Prof. Esu said peace should be everyone’s concern, as no tangible development and achievement in human society can thrive in an environment of Conflict.
The International President of TIFUH, Dr King Charles E. Bassey, said the Institute’s professional qualification will enhance proficiency and speedy employment/retainer-ship in any Multinational Corporation, Organised Private Sector, or Government Establishment.
Dr King Charles added that the training will enhance the capacity of TIFUH certificate holders in the areas of Conflict Resolution/Management and Peace Advocacy, enhance candidates’ chances
of gaining promotion in service and widening the scope of knowledge and horizons of members on Conflict Management issues, among other things.
The International President stated that membership of the Institute will be open to all qualified candidates, adding that, admission into the programme as an Executive in-take requires a minimum qualification of a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in any prestigious field of study.
Those in the newly inaugurated leadership include the following: Chairman, Prof Asira Asira; Vice Chairman, Prof Uchenna Ajake; Senior Special Adviser, Dr Ekere Okon; Secretary, TPL Ayi Ekpenyong and Adviser II, Rev Sis Dr Anakwue Laetitia.
The event featured a session of group photographs with the iconic Father of the day, the Ndidem of the Qua Nation and Paramount Ruler of Calabar Municipality HRM Ndidem Eta Bassey Eteta III, with members of their newly inaugurated State Executive Council.
