Tragedy struck the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID) community as Professor Ruth Haruna, a former head of the Department of Business Management, met with a fatal accident at her residence in Polo, Maiduguri.
Reports by her family and the Borno State Police Command indicate that Prof. Haruna tragically lost her life when her own vehicle rolled over her after she parked it on her sloped driveway to open the gate to enter.
The university and local community converged to mourn with her husband Professor Wazis Haruna, three children and three grandchildren.
She died at 64.
