Many will not recognise Nigeria by the time Tinubu finish his remaining 7 years – Akpabio

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has asserted that many people will not recognise Nigeria again by the time President Bola Tinubu finishes his remaining years in office.

Akpabio stated this on Tuesday while flagging off Kugbo Bus Terminal in Abuja.

Akpabio expressed his confidence in Tinubu’s leadership, saying, “I have no doubt that by the time the president is through with his tenure in the country, seven years from today, many people will not recognise FCT, they will not recognise Nigeria again.

“So, all I can say is: let us continue to pray for him and be hopeful that you will see the challenges you see today, tomorrow, no more.

“He did it in Lagos and today, Lagos is one of the best; one of the largest economies in Africa when we are talking about cities.”

Akpabio also praised President Tinubu for appointing former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), commending the president’s foresight in selecting capable leaders.

“So, I believe that you are a square peg in a square hole and I must thank the President for having the eyes to pinpoint those who can perform and bring them,” Akpabio stated.

He highlighted the significance of the new bus terminal project, noting its potential to alleviate traffic congestion and improve security.

Drawing parallels to Tinubu’s achievements in Lagos, Akpabio remarked, “He did it in Lagos and today, Lagos is one of the best; one of the largest economies in Africa when we are talking about cities.”

Recall that the tenure of any elective President or Governor is for four years and only extendable at the ballot to 8 years maximum. So, is Akpabio telling us that Tinubu has already won the 2027 election?
