Cross River State has commenced the recruitment of Forest Rangers to guard and protect its forest across the state.
The recruitment, CONVERSEER reports was approved by Governor Bassey Otu on Wednesday 6 December 2023.
According to the statement by Emmanuel Effiong Asikpo-Okon, Permanent Secretary for the Chairman/CEO, Cross River State Forestry Commission, the vacant position of Forest Rangers is on Grade Level 04/Step 1.

“Accordingly, the Cross River State Forestry Commission hereby invites applications from able-bodied and interested Cross Riverians to fill the vacant position of Forest Rangers on Grade Level 04/Step 1 in the Commission,” the statement said.
Qualification: SSCE or its equivalent.
Application Deadline: Friday 26th December 2023
How To Apply
Applicants should submit a handwritten application together with photocopies of their credentials to the Chairman/CEO, Cross River State Forestry Commission Headquarters, 69 Target Road, Calabar on or before the close of work on Friday 26th December 2023.
“Please note that only qualified and shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview,” the statement added.
