2025 Kenya Police recruitment requirements
Basic Eligibility
- Citizenship: Must be a Kenyan citizen
- ID: Must hold a valid Kenyan National Identity Card
- Age: Between 18 and 28 years old
Academic Qualifications
- KCSE Grade: Minimum of D+ (plus) overall
- Languages: At least a D (plain) in English or Kiswahili
Physical & Medical Fitness
- Must be physically and medically fit
Height Requirements
- Male: Minimum 5 feet 8 inches
- Female: Minimum 5 feet 6 inches
- Female Candidates: Must not be pregnant during recruitment or training
Character & Conduct
- Must not have a criminal record or any pending charges
- Must not falsify documents or give misleading information (punishable by law)
Special Consideration
- NYS Graduates: Encouraged to apply if they meet all requirements
- Must present NYS discharge certificate with a minimum rating of “GOOD” in conduct
