The newly appointed Deputy Director General, South South, of the Tinubu Support Group, TSG, Senator Eteng Williams, has pledged to mobilise massive support across the region for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re election bid.
Eteng made the commitment while reacting to his appointment, describing it as a call to greater service and an opportunity to contribute to the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
He thanked the leadership of the TSG for the confidence reposed in him, saying he would deploy his leadership experience and grassroots networks to strengthen the organisation’s presence across the six South South states.
The senator said his mobilisation strategy would focus on sensitising residents to projects and policies of the Tinubu administration in the region, including the South South Development Commission, Lagos Calabar Coastal Highway and other road projects.
He said the initiatives were designed to address infrastructure deficits, improve social amenities, stimulate commerce and create opportunities for residents of the region.
Eteng, who represents Cross River Central Senatorial District, also pledged to engage political leaders, stakeholders, community groups and other relevant actors to enhance coordination and participation across the region.
He promised to approach the assignment with humility, diligence and commitment while building a strong and coordinated mobilisation structure across the South South.
Eteng was appointed Deputy Director General, South South, of the TSG in a letter dated September 19 and signed by the organisation’s Convener and Founder, Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke.
Faleke said the appointment recognised Eteng’s leadership experience, professional accomplishments, grassroots engagement and commitment to national development and democratic governance.
According to him, Eteng would coordinate and mobilise TSG activities across the South South while working with relevant stakeholders to advance the organisation’s objectives and promote the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Faleke congratulated Eteng on the appointment and expressed confidence in his ability to contribute to the growth and success of the group.
