2023 will be the first year in iPad history that no new products will be released, but it is expected that the entire iPad product line will be updated next year. It is worth noting that there are rumours that the next-generation iPad Air will be launched in two sizes.
According to an article published today on XDA-Developers by Display Supply Chain Consulting Company (DSCC) CEO Ross Young, Apple’s supply chain has begun shipping display panels for the larger 12.9-inch iPad Air this month. Young has a good track record when it comes to display-related Applerumourss, so the information he’s sharing today is likely accurate.
Multiple sources, including Taiwanese supply chain media DigiTimes, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, have claimed that Apple plans to launch a 12.9-inch iPad Air. Earlier this week, Gurman said he expected the 12.9-inch iPad Air to be released around March 2024.

Aside from the larger display size, there are currently rumours of other major design changes for the 12.9-inch iPad Air. The current iPad Air is equipped with a 10.9-inch display, and this model is also expected to be updated around March next year.
The next-generation iPad Pro is expected to be equipped with an OLED display, so the price of the new machine may be higher than the current iPad Pro. By sticking to a more cost-effective LCD panel, the 12.9-inch iPad Air should be priced between the 10.9-inch iPad Air and the next-generation 11-inch iPad Pro.
