A 22-year-old lady allegedly st@bbed her boyfriend to d3ath during a fight over a phone in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Rivers journalist, Allwell Ene, who disclosed this in a Facebook post on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, said the tragic incident occurred after the lady allegedly went to a party with the deceased’s phone.
“Heard a very pathetic story this evening. I sat somewhere around town axis of Port Harcourt,” he wrote.
I saw some boys carrying the picture of their friend 24 years old who was allegedly killed by his 22 years old girlfriend
They said the girlfriend had gone to his house to collect his phone to attend a party.
He came back home, looked for his phone and decided to go to his girlfriend’s house to ask for the phone.
When he got there at about 8pm, the girl had not returned
He waited till 10pm to no avail and then left. He went back to the girl’s house in the morning. Asked her where she was last night.
An argument ensued and he started beating up the girl.
The girl I was told now picked up a knife and stabbed him in the stomach. He d!ed.
I also heard the girl was arrested and is standing trial.
