22-year-old Mississippi woman Sierra Inscoe sentenced to 40 years for killing man she met online

A 22-year-old woman, Sierra Inscoe, was sentenced after she pleaded guilty to murder for killing a man she met online and dumping his body in an oil field.

WDAM-TV reports Sierra Inscoe entered the plea Thursday, 18th July, and was sentenced to 40 years in prison in connection with the death of 24-year-old Carson Sistrunk. She must serve 35 years before she can be eligible for parole.

According to Magnolia State Live, Sistrunk’s family reported him missing to the Rankin County Sheriff’s Office on 4th September 2022, and said he had plans to meet a woman he started communicating with on Snapchat. After he was reported missing. Jefferson Davis County Sheriff’s Office deputies located Inscoe driving Sistrunk’s truck.

Three days after he was reported missing, on 7th September 2022, pipeline workers discovered his body in an oil field off a gravel road.

Inscoe was arrested and charged with murder.

Fifteenth Circuit District Attorney Hal Kittrell reportedly said after Inscoe’s plea and sentencing, “Though nothing can bring Mr Sistrunk back, it is my sincere hope that family can find some closure in this resolution.”
