Calabar, Cross River State – A suspected mechanic rams customer’s car to fence in Calabar, Cross River State capital.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident happened on Thursday morning at Mary Slessor Roundabout.

One of the eyewitnesses, who spoke under anonymity, told CONVERSEER that the driver, suspected to be a mechanic, lost control of the white Toyota Camry with the number plate “Abuja GWA – 690MA” and rammed into a fence beside the roundabout by Marian Hill.

“The incident happened this morning at about 6:30 am when the driver, who is a mechanic, drove and hit the fence. It was like a break failure or so. The vehicle belongs to a customer and the mechanic came out without any serious physical injuries,” the anonymous eyewitness said.

Another eyewitness who stays around the area also told CONVERSEER that, “The guy was taken to the hospital (yet to be ascertained), and I was told he’s bleeding from his nose and mouth.”

A check on the accident vehicle by our Reporter shows that the front of the vehicle is completely damaged and the air bursted. The rear windshield was completely shattered with a block from the fence inflicting more damage on the vehicle. The side mirrors were also damaged.
