ABUJA – The Chief of Staff to the Governor of Cross River State, Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar, Thursday, received a National Leadership Award as ‘Best Chief of Staff in Nigeria’, 2024.
The ceremony which held in Abuja at the National Merit Awards House, according to the organisers, The Peoples Parliament Nigeria, was in recognition of Hon. Ironbar’s pivotal role in stabilising the Government of Cross River State.
The Peoples Parliament Nigeria noted that Hon. Ironbar’s contributions to effective governance in the state in the last 20 months were not only remarkable but also phenomenal.
The organisers said: “The Chief of Staff to the Governor of Cross River State, Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar is a square peg in a square hole. His style, character, passion and commitment to service are worthy of emulation. He has greatly impacted governance in Cross River State, making him the most Outstanding Chief of Staff to a Governor within the period under review, after a thorough selection process”.
Speaking, the Chairman of the Organising Committee of the National Leadership Awards, Chief Perry Opara stressed that the committee could not find a better recipient for the award other than Hon. Ironbar, after a painstaking assessment of the 36 Chief of Staff to current Nigeria Governors.
Responding, Hon. Ironbar thanked the organisers for finding him worthy of recognition.
While dedicating the award to his principal, Cross River State Governor, Senator Bassey Otu, Ironbar said the award was a motivation to do more.
“I’m inspired to work even harder. In all, the interest of Cross River State is paramount and her well being is my uttermost concern. I will continue to do my best while giving the governor unalloyed support to enable him pilot the state to greater heights,” he said.
Hon. Ironbar who eulogised governor Otu for giving him the opportunity to serve and latitude to operate, vowed not to relent any effort in the service of the state.
