C’River Speaker sympathises with Chief Higgins over Sister’s death

The Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem has expressed his deep condolences to High Chief Higgins Peters over the untimely demise of his immediate younger sister, the late Mrs Juliana Akpowu Ezekiel (Née Peters).

Ayambem conveyed his condolences to Chief Higgins at the burial ceremony of the late Mrs Juliana Akpowu Ezekiel in Oba-Okpoma, Yala Local Government Area.

The Speaker also conveyed the Assembly’s deep sorrow and acknowledged the suffering that follows the death of a cherished family member. He offered the bereaved family his sincere prayers, wishing for Mrs Juliana Akpowu Ezekiel’s soul to rest in eternal peace and advising them to find strength during these difficult times.

He gave a thoughtful reflection on the importance of cherishing the memories of departed loved ones, highlighting the idea that future get-togethers should be times of celebration rather than sadness.
