Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, club, Kun Khalifat FC, are seeking new buyers, DAILY POST reports.
The Pride of Imo in a letter to the NPFL on Friday, confirmed that they are in the process of handing over the majority shares of the club to a prospective buyer.
The process must be completed before the start of the 2026/27 NPFL season to ensure a change of name.
Kun Khalifat gained promotion to the NPFL from the Nigeria National League, NNL, two years ago.
The Owerri-based club initially announced their withdrawal from the NPFL last season due to financial challenges but later reversed the decision.
They ultimately avoided relegation, finishing the campaign in 16th position.
