Kailani Ibrahim Kpa, popularly known as the “Powder Man” who gained widespread attention on social media during the 2026 FIFA World Cup period, has reportedly appeared before a court in Accra to face allegations of visa fraud.

Kpa is accused of collecting thousands of dollars from at least 13 individuals after allegedly promising to assist them in securing visas to travel to the United States and Canada for the World Cup.

According to the allegations, the individuals paid him money based on the promise that he would facilitate their visa arrangements. However, the visas were reportedly not secured, and the affected individuals allegedly did not receive refunds.

Attempts by some of those who allegedly paid him to recover their money after the World Cup reportedly proved unsuccessful.

Following multiple complaints, the East Legon Police are said to have arrested Kpa on Monday, August 24, 2026.

He subsequently appeared before the court in Accra today, August 26, where the allegations against him were brought before the court.
