Governor Umo Eno has announced a one-time dress allowance for all local teachers in Akwa Ibom State’s schools, aimed at enhancing their professional appearance, boosting their confidence, and creating a conducive learning environment for students. During the recent commissioning of a model Primary School in Uyo, Governor Umo Eno declared, “I will pay a one-time dress allowance to all local teachers in our schools so that they can appear well, look good, and have confidence while teaching our young people.”

He directed the Commissioner for Education to provide the number of primary school teachers, paving the way for the disbursement of the allowance.
