Chelsea defender, Tosin Adarabioyo has opened up about his Nigerian roots, revealing that he was raised with a strong sense of Nigerian culture and values.The 27-year-old was born in England to Nigerian parents and has represented England at youth level. Despite this, he remains eligible to play for Nigeria at senior international level.Speaking in an interview with Chelseas official website, Adarabioyo shared insights into his upbringing and cultural background. Were very much a Nigerian family, and it was a Nigerian upbringing whether thats through the food or the traditional way we were raised, which is a bit different from how it would be here [in England], he said. He also reflected on the role of traditional Nigerian meals in his development. The food is tougher things like pounded yam, meals that make you strong! he added with a smile. Adarabioyo, who recently joined Chelsea from Fulham, continues to draw strength from his heritage both on and off the pitch.
