‘Abused’: Biden-Harris scandal revealed

A new report by the House Judiciary Committee claims that the Biden-Harris administration “abused” the Temporary Protected Status program to allow over 1 million illegal immigrants into the United States and “shield hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens from deportation.”

The House Judiciary Committee’s interim staff report, which was announced on Tuesday, stated, “By greatly expanding the scope of populations eligible for Temporary Protected Status (TPS), including through new designations, redesignations, and extensions of prior TPS designations, the Biden-Harris Administration attempted to indefinitely protect from deportation hundreds of thousands of aliens from certain countries.”

The House Judiciary Committee’s report added, “The Biden-Harris Administration vastly expanded this de facto amnesty to hundreds of thousands of new aliens, many of whom are in the country illegally.”

According to the report, as of January 22, 1,417,265 migrants from 16 different countries had been granted Temporary Protected Status. Of the total number of migrants granted Temporary Protected Status, 1,006,859 migrants were added in four years under the Biden-Harris administration, while only 410,406 migrants were granted Temporary Protected Status from 10 countries by the end of President Donald Trump’s first administration.

The House Judiciary Committee’s report shows that roughly 725,000 migrants who have been granted Temporary Protected Status entered the United States under the Biden-Harris administration, and approximately 280,000 migrants who were already in the country were granted Temporary Protected Status due to the administration’s changes to the program.

“The vast majority of these aliens are nationals of Haiti and Venezuela, likely incentivized to enter the country due to the Biden-Harris Administration’s open-borders policies,” the report stated.

According to the report, while Venezuelan migrants were not granted Temporary Protected Status prior to the Biden-Harris administration, 614,000 Venezuelan migrants had been granted Temporary Protected Status by January of 2025.

The report indicated that over 95% of the Venezuelan migrants were “illegally paroled into the country, entered the country without inspection, provided the US government with little or no information at all about the nature of their entry into the country, or remain in the US having filed an application to claim, but who are statistically unlikely to qualify for, asylum.”

The House Judiciary Committee also claimed that the Biden-Harris administration “likely granted TPS to nearly 150 aliens who defrauded the US government at the time of their initial parole, at the time of their TPS application, or both.”

The new report from the House Judiciary Committee warned that the federal government currently “has no idea how many TPS beneficiaries are currently living in the United States” since the previous administration “failed to verify basic information about TPS beneficiaries.”
