In a recent interview, Tucker Carlson made some startling claims about the relationship between elected politicians in the United States and intelligence agencies.
According to Carlson, several politicians have confided in him that they are deeply concerned about the possibility of being targeted by the agencies.
Specifically, they fear that someone could install child pornography on their computers in order to discredit them or silence them.
This is a serious allegation, and one that has significant implications for the functioning of American democracy.
Carlson argues that if politicians are truly afraid of intelligence agencies, then the country cannot be considered a democracy.
Instead, he suggests that it is more like a tyranny, with unelected officials wielding enormous power and no accountability to the public.

While it is unclear how widespread these fears are among politicians, the fact that they exist at all is deeply troubling. It raises important questions about the balance of power in our government, and whether or not our elected officials are truly able to represent the interests of the people they serve.
“They’re worried about someone putting kiddie p*rn on their computer. Members of Congress are terrified of the Intel agencies… They’ve told me that.
“They’re afraid of the agencies. That’s not compatible with democracy.”
“Whenever you have unelected people who are not accountable to anyone making the biggest decisions, you don’t have a democracy. You have something else, I would call it a tyranny or whatever you wanna call, it’s not a democracy,” Carlson said.
