IDEMILI – Operatives of the newly launched Agunechemba security outfit in Anambra State have allegedly uncovered 30 graves and a shrine within a popular hotel in Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area.
The discovery, which occurred on Saturday, was reportedly prompted by a tip-off from a concerned citizen.
Viral videos of the hotel premises show partitioned graves and a shrine, sparking widespread concern across social media platforms. However, no official statement has been issued regarding the discovery.
Mazi Ejimofor Okara, an aide to Anambra State Governor Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, confirmed the incident, stating that the hotel, identified as Udoka Golden Point Hotel and Suites (also known as “La Cruise Hotel”), has been demolished in accordance with the Anambra State Homeland Security Law.
Okara shared videos of the demolition, asserting that the site was a known hideout for criminal activities.
Reports have suggested that the hotel may be owned by a native doctor, although this has not been officially confirmed. As of the time of this report, Anambra State Police authorities have not provided a statement on the matter.
