The All Progressives Congress, APC, has disqualified 47 aspirants, including Hon. Oden Ewa and Rt. Hon. Daniel Asuquo (Dansuki), from contesting Senatorial elections under the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Oden Ewa, immediate past Commissioner for Special Duties and Chairman of the Cross River State Green Economy Commission, and Dansuki, former Federal House of Representatives member representing Akamkpa/Biase Federal Constituency and 2023 Cross River Southern Senatorial candidate under Labour Party, are the only aspirants not cleared from the state.
Their disqualification was contained in a statement signed by Felix Morka, National Publicity Secretary of the APC, on Monday.
According to the statement, “The All Progressives Congress (APC) hereby releases the list of Senatorial aspirants not cleared to participate in the Party’s Senate Primary Elections.
“The screening exercise was conducted by the Party’s Screening Committees in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.”
