Appeal Court Schedules Judgement Day For Sandy Onor vs Prince Otu

Written addresses in the case between Sen. Sandy Onor and Prince Bassey have been adopted by the Appeal Court sitting in Lagos.

CONVERSEER learned that the appellant court adopted the addresses filed by Onor challenging the Election Tribunal Court judgment which affirms Otu as the winner of the March 18, 2023 governorship election in Cross River State.

After adopting the addresses, the Appeal Court, however, reserved judgment, adding that the judgment will be delivered on or before November 26, 2023.

In other news, the Appeal Court reaffirms the victory of Senator Jarigbe Agom as the winner of the Cross River North Senatorial election.

Also, the victory of Godwin Offiono was affirmed by the Appeal Court sitting in Lagos.

CONVERSEER reports that the President of the Appeal Court, Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem in October relocated appellate cases arising from tribunals’ verdicts to Abuja and Lagos divisions for adjudication.
