Talented Nigerian Afrobeat musician Ahmed Ololade, popularly known in music circles as Asake, has settled the rift with his ailing father who accused the singer of abandonment.

Recall that in a video that went viral on social media earlier last week, the singer’s father, Fatai Odunsi, openly accused the artiste of ignoring his calls after he suffered a stroke in 2022 and sought financial support from the public.

He said, “I am the father to Asake, who is singing. The last time I saw him was when this thing happened to me on March 29, 2022.

“He does not pick up my calls anytime I call him. Now I have become tired. I have been looking for this my brother and I recently met with him.”

But in a recent social media video, Odunsi disclosed that Asake had contacted him and earnestly pledged to help him both medically and in other ways.

“His mother ought to ask him when last he saw me. That was what got me angry, but we have sorted all the problems. We are no longer fighting,” he said.

Mr. Odunsi disclosed further that he has settled his rift with his son, who has promised to support him financially and is also looking for a new house to buy for him.

“Asake said he will do everything that I want. We have settled, no more problems. They are now looking for a new house that he will buy for me. He has settled everything,” he said.
