Mavin Records founder, Don Jazzy has debunked a rumour that Grammy nominee, Ayra Starr has quit the record label.
He said the Afrobeats star, whose real name is Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, remains a Mavin artiste.
The ace producer made the clarification in an X post on Thursday evening.
A fan, Paul Egahi, had praised him for continuing to support artistes that had left the label, including Ayra Starr.
Reacting, Don Jazzy said, “Lol my Ayra my pikin my celestial being is still very much a Mavin abeg o.”
Ayra Starr, 24, was in the news last week following reports that the South African government denied her a visa to enter the country.
However, South African Consul-General to Nigeria, Prof Bobby Moroe said immigration authorities had no record of any visa application or rejection involving the singer or her team.
