The male housemates in Big Brother Naija Season 11 have emerged winners of the first Thursday wager task after defeating the female housemates in a debate competition.
The wager task, held on Thursday, focused on the age-old “Nature versus Nurture” argument, with both teams assigned opposing positions.
The female housemates argued that nurture plays the greater role in shaping a person’s character, behaviour and achievements, insisting that upbringing, environment and life experiences have the biggest influence on individual development.
The male housemates, however, maintained that nature is the dominant factor, arguing that inherited traits and genetics have a stronger impact on personality, abilities and behaviour.
After both teams presented their arguments, Big Brother announced the male housemates as winners of the debate, handing them their first wager victory of the season.
The contest is the first Thursday wager challenge since the 24 housemates were divided into male and female teams at the start of the season, with selected tasks now contested along gender lines.
